“I’m very proud to be a Gold Member of the Automotive 30% Club.
The fit between the core values of Solus and the Automotive 30% Club are well aligned, and we have embraced the challenge of addressing gender-balance within Solus as well as attracting new, talented individuals into the repair industry.”
The vehicle damage repair sector is already witnessing rapid change, and to keep pace with this we need to adapt and attract the best talent. Solus, with investment from Aviva, is committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming work environment which supports and encourages development and growth.
Solus now has a 50:50 gender split in leadership roles, and we’ve had two female apprentices win the overall apprentice award in the repair industry as voted for by Thatcham Research.
Two of our female colleagues, area operations lead, Steph Brindley and head of HR, Karen Greenwood, have also been named as winners of the 30% Automotive Club’s Inspiring Automotive Women Awards.
But whilst we have achieved a lot and we are making significant strides in creating a culture that develops and nurtures the talent of the future, there is still more work to be done. At Solus we recognise the importance of breaking down perceptions and creating an inclusive environment for all.
