Angela Shepherd, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Retail Group becomes the latest member of the Automotive 30% Club
We are pleased to announce that Angela Shepherd, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Retail Group, has become a member of the Automotive 30% Club.
The Automotive 30% Club was founded by Julia Muir in 2016 with the purpose of achieving a better gender balance within the automotive industry and with the aim of achieving at least 30% diverse female representation in the sector’s key roles by 2030.
Mercedes-Benz Retail Group is the UK’s largest official retailer of new and approved used Mercedes-Benz cars, consisting of 18 dealerships, including 7 Smart centres across the North and South of London. The group claims to be driven to be the very best at all things Mercedes-Benz and pride themselves on delivering the highest levels of customer service possible.
Angela Shepherd, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Retail Group comments:
“Since I joined Mercedes-Benz Retail Group in December 2019, one of our biggest goals has been to create a culture of diversity and inclusion. The Automotive 30% Club neatly starts the conversation about gender and from there we can open the door to conversations and actions around diversity as a whole.”
Julia Muir, Founder of the Automotive 30% Club and CEO of Gaia Innovation comments:
“I’m delighted to welcome Angela Shepherd of Mercedes Benz Retail Group into the Automotive 30% Club. It’s wonderful to have such a highly respected leader from the industry join our network of CEOs and MDs, and it’s so important to have reputable, well-known brands such as Mercedes Benz Retail Group in our network. I look forward to supporting Angela to achieve a greater gender balance for the benefit of the business, her employees, and customers, and start to truly change the game in the sector.”
