Mark Carpenter of Motorpoint Limited Joins the Automotive 30% Club
We are very pleased to announce that Mark Carpenter, CEO of Motorpoint Limited, has joined our network of CEOs and MDs, to become the latest member of the Automotive 30% Club.
The club aims to achieve a greater gender balance across the automotive industry, by filling at least 30% of leadership roles with diverse women, in each member company by the year 2030.
Motorpoint Limited is the largest independent vehicle retailer in the UK, operating from 13 retail sites across Great Britain and supported by one central contact centre in Derby. Motorpoint aims to ensure there is something for everyone by providing a range of 34 manufacturer brands throughout their retail sites and stocking over 6.500 cars at any one time.
Motorpoint was co-founded in 1998 by David Shelton, a director of the company, with the opening of the Group’s first retail site in Derby. Mark Carpenter, CEO of Motorpoint Limited, joined in 2011 respectively and was appointed CEO in 2013 having initially served as Chief Financial Officer.
